Are the skills and competences required of designers the same in public service innovation, social enterprise and corporate service innovation? How does the nature, size and maturity of a social enterprise affect the type of skills and competences required of designers? How important are specific tools or methods (e.g. personas, journey mapping, shadowing, contextual interviews) in the social innovation activities we have heard about? What skills and competencies do you look for when recruiting team members? Are there any skills and competencies which you would like to see design courses putting more focus on in order to prepare students for working in social innovation and sustainability contexts? What design skills are perceived as being of most value in the context of social innovation/sustainability projects?
